Shah Alam Lake Gardens

Shah Alam Lake Gardens is one of the favourite retreats for residents of Shah Alam and visitors who come either individually, with friends or family members. The lake garden is beautifully landscaped with greenery and consists of a well-maintained man-made lake.

This recreation park spans on 43 hectares of dry land and man-made lake. The lake consists of three lake sections namely the east lake called Tasik Damai, the west lake called Tasik Permai and the central lake called Tasik Indah. All the three sections of the lake are beautifully landscaped and facilitated with jogging tracks, pedestrian bridges, raised wooden platforms, children playground and water theme park. The park is very ideal for family outings and activities such as exercise, jogging, picnicking etc.

Certain section of the lake consists of raised wooden platform above the lake. Visitors will be able to walk across the wooden platform to feed tortoise, fish and other fresh water habitat. On certain rare occasions, visitors will be able to see peacocks, forest chickens, goose and stork that breed within the area.

There are a number of facilities being provided which can cater for both the young and the old. They include a water theme park called Wet World Shah Alam.

The Wet World Shah Alam water theme park has been in operation since its opening in year 1996. It has become an ideal place for children and adults to enjoy the various water rides that are available within the area. Water rides provided in the park include the Fountain of Youth, the Giant Slide, Neptune Challenge, Lighthouse Escape, Atlantis City, Cascading Waterfall and Enclosed Tube Slides

One of the main attractions inside the Wet World is water coaster called Monsoon Buster. It is the longest uphill water coaster in the world and the first in Asia with 225m long track. Apart from that, children will enjoy playing in the kiddie pool, crossing the roped bridge and riding the yellow submarine.

Visitors will also be able to rent kayaks or cycling floats at a very reasonable prices.

Shah Alam Lake Gardens is also a popular site for annual events being organized either by private or government bodies for activities such as International Boat Show, Selangor Orchid Exhibition, fishing competition, music show etc.
